Timeline of events

  1. Day 1. A colleague goes on vacation leaving a clean branch.
  2. Day 2. On return, the project is called “ehr-core-service” and another name appears in the commits.
  3. Day 3. The only credited author is “Co-Authored-By: Claude”, who asked nobody for anything.

Verdict

The Co-Authored-By does all the work, the human co-author signs.

Recommendation: On a team, crediting work is a basic rule; for a patient record it is also a traceability requirement: who changed what, when, why. An AI “co-author” doesn't replace an identified human owner.
